Campground Rules

- Fees:
- Members - $35 annual fee or $10 per person/per weekend, or any part thereof
- Nonmembers - $30 per person per weekend (covers both Friday and Saturday nights)
- Children under 18 years (must me accompanied by an adult) - free.
- Note: Members have a responsibility to pay camping fees for themselves and their guests to the Outing Chair or any Board member in the campground at the earliest opportunity. On CMC outing weekends, only members, nonmembers over age 18 participating in CMC climbing activities, and guests accompanied
by members may use the MFC campground. Minor children must be supervised and are the sole responsibility of their parents.
- At times other than CMC outing weekends, only CMC members may use the campground. Nonmembers may use the campground only when accompanied by a CMC member. A CMC member must collect camping fees from nonmembers and members who did not pay an annual campground fee and then remit them to the Outing Chair or other Board members or pay through the website.
- The CMC prohibits the possession of firearms and fireworks in the campground.
- The possession, delivery, or sale of controlled substances, as defined and prohibited by the State of Wisconsin, is likewise prohibited on all camping grounds and facilities controlled by the CMC.
- All tent sites are first come, first choice. Tents must be moved every 3 days and located at least 50 feet from the road, beyond the allowed parking area.
- Park within 10 feet of the road, not at your tent site.
- No camping at the group campfire area.
- Dispose of all refuse in suitable containers outside the
campground.
- The CMC prohibits cutting and/or removing wood from the park campground and/or property.
- No house or camping trailers.
- Fires:
- *Use established fire pits -- do not make new ones.
- *Cooking fires only -- conserve fuel.
- *Social campfires at the group campfire site only.
- *Extinguish your cooking fires before leaving campground.
- Member's children over age 18 are subject to the same rules as other nonmembers.
- There is no extended camping allowed without prior written permission from the CMC Board of Directors.
Dogs at Campground
Please be aware that ONLY members are allowed to bring dogs to the campground. Any non-member who brings a dog to the campground will be asked to leave and any camp fees will not be refunded.
Campground Dog Policy, last updated 2023:
Members in good standing shall be permitted to bring dogs to the campground so as long as the following conditions are met:
- Only CMC members in good standing may bring dogs to the campground.
- Dog owners must sign a waiver.
- Members may be accompanied by one dog each at the campsite. Dogs cannot be left unattended at the campsite.
- Members camping with dogs must camp in the back section of the campsite.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times at the campsite.
- Members are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs and managing their dog's behavior.
- Dogs are subject to a one strike policy.
- Dogs must be leashed at all times and cannot be left unattended.
- Each member must pay $10 per dog per trip to the club.
- Members are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Dog waste is prohibited from being disposed of in CMC Campground outhouses.
- Members are responsible for managing their dog’s behavior including but not limited to preventing excessive barking, property damage, aggressive behavior with members or other dogs, and causing disturbances.
- Members must sign a waiver absolving the club from any legal responsibility prior to bringing their dog to CMC property.
- Each member in good standing is permitted one dog per weekend.
- Dogs are only permitted in the area east of the road and south of the treeline next to the campfire; see image below.
- Members must provide 48 hour written or emailed notice to the board before they bring a dog to a CMC property. Written notice must include name of the member, name of the dog, and picture for identification purposes.
- Members who violate these rules will be subject to immediate removal from the campground.
- Members who exhibit abusive behavior towards animals shall be subject to penalty at the discretion of the CMC board.
- CMC Board Members may vote to ban individual dogs from access to the campground with a simple majority vote. This vote constitutes a permanent one strike policy. Violations to Article VIII Section 9, amongst other behavior, are prerequisite to initiate a vote.
One strike policy:
- Break any of the rules stated above
- Causing disturbances at the campsite.
- Eating campers' food or damaging other campers’ property.
- Leaving poop uncollected.
- Dogs who are unleashed.
